IV. Summary of Business Experience

I worked my way through College starting by selling chocolates from door to door at the age of 13. I went on to become a salesman for a textile Company, secretary to an executive of a charitable society, inventor, promotor and salesman of a parlor baseball game and an assistant manager of an export-import firm, dealing in all kinds of commodities, including export of British vehicles to Argentina and Cuban sugar to Hong Kong

In 1949-50 while in Israel, I was in charge of the disposal of substantial quantities of surplus goods which had been consigned to Israel for sa1e. This involved dealing with licensing authorities. and. Government organizations. In 1950 and 1951, I was associated with a family firm, Industrial Facilities Corp. which was responsible for financing of long term British exports based on British Government guarantees and I was directly concerned with negotiations with the Finnish and British manufacturers for a £3,000,000.- credit to Finland, as well as with high officials of the Spanish textile importing consortium.

From 1953 to 1954, I was one of the founders and a director of Heller & Partners, Ltd., a merchant banking company in London and in 1954 formed E. Karlin & Sons Ltd. which acted as a financial broker and advisers, and on behalf of which I served a number of investment and financial companies. I have made a great number of business trips through Western Europe, Israel, Canada and the U. S. A.

In 1958, I moved to Israe1 where I am associated with the Menorah insurance Co., an old established Insurance Company, of which my wife's father. Mr. S. Stahl is a chairman and general manager.

Throughout my business career, I have taken a keen interest in and followed and traded in the New York Securities market.

V. Conclusion:

In view of my background and preparation and my interest in returning to the United States, I have agreed, the United States Immigrant authorities allowing, to take up permanent residence in New York City, to manage the business of the Hampstead Investing Corp. which is, and will be concerned with International investment securities and financial brokerage business.

I believe that I am adequately prepared for such a capacity.

I enclose certain letters of reference as evidence to the above summaries and to my reputation.
